Amine El Ouazzani: Morocco-France striker joins Angers from Braga on season-long loan

Angers SCO have signed Morocco-France centre-forward Amine El Ouazzani from Braga on a season-long loan. The 25-year-old moves to the Ligue 1 club for the 2026-27 campaign, with his temporary switch from the Portuguese side confirmed on 20 July.

El Ouazzani, who was born in Grenoble and stands at 1.88m, is a left-footed striker and will wear the number 19 shirt for Angers. His loan deal runs until 30 June 2027, after which he is scheduled to return to Braga at the end of the agreement.

The forward joined Braga in July 2024 from French side Guingamp in a €3.5m transfer after impressing in Ligue 2. He had earlier made his senior breakthrough with Bourg-en-Bresse following spells in the youth ranks at Grenoble and FBBP 01.

At club level, El Ouazzani has built up significant experience across France and Portugal, with nearly 160 senior appearances in league and cup competitions. In Ligue 2 and Ligue 3 combined, he has scored 29 goals and provided 12 assists, while in Liga Portugal he has added nine goals and two assists. He has also featured in European competition, making appearances in both the Europa League and its qualifying rounds.

On the international stage, El Ouazzani has been part of Morocco’s set-up and was a member of the side that won the Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations in 2023.

El Ouazzani is contracted to Angers until the end of June 2027, with the move officially recorded as a loan transfer from Braga.
