Adil Lechkar: Dutch-Moroccan defender joins FC Dordrecht on free transfer from Telstar

FC Dordrecht have signed Dutch-Moroccan right-back Adil Lechkar from Telstar on a free transfer, adding the 24-year-old to their squad ahead of the new Keuken Kampioen Divisie campaign.

Lechkar moves after leaving Eredivisie side Telstar, switching from the Dutch top flight to the second tier in search of regular football. The deal is a permanent move, with no transfer fee involved between the two clubs.

Capable of operating across the right side of defence, Lechkar strengthens a Dordrecht back line that faces a demanding league schedule in the coming season. His arrival gives the club an additional option in a specialist role, with the move finalised on 19 July 2026.

Born in the Netherlands and eligible for Morocco, Lechkar carries dual nationality, adding an international dimension to Dordrecht’s dressing room. His recent spell at Telstar exposed him to top-division standards, experience he will now look to apply in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.

Lechkar’s market value stands at around €150,000, underlining Dordrecht’s decision to secure him without a fee as a cost-effective addition. The free transfer also gives the club greater flexibility to shape the rest of their squad during the window.

The defender’s registration has been completed, confirming his status as an FC Dordrecht player for the upcoming season.
