Khaled Bassiouni: Egypt midfielder joins Delphi SC on free transfer from Port Fouad SC

Egyptian defensive midfielder Khaled Bassiouni has joined Delphi SC on a free transfer from Port Fouad SC. The 27-year-old has signed a deal that keeps him at the club until 30 June 2028.

Bassiouni, who stands at 1.80m and plays primarily as a holding midfielder, leaves Port Fouad after two separate spells with the club. He first arrived there from Enppi SC’s U21 side in 2021 and returned again during the 2023-24 season following a short stint with Kahraba.

Delphi SC will be Bassiouni’s latest challenge in Egyptian football after gaining experience across league and cup competitions. During his time in the top flight he made four Premier League appearances, totalling 161 minutes of action, and was also involved in Egypt Cup matchday squads earlier in his career.

The right-footed midfielder began to establish himself when he moved on loan from Enppi SC U21 to Aswan SC in November 2020, before that switch was made permanent with his return to Enppi’s youth ranks at the end of the loan in January 2021. His subsequent move to Port Fouad later that year came as a free transfer and marked his step into regular senior football.

Bassiouni, born on 1 January 1999, now commits the peak years of his career to Delphi SC, with his contract running for two seasons through to the summer of 2028 after completing his free transfer from Port Fouad SC.
