Charles Sagoe Jr: England-Ghana winger at Kalmar FF linked with AIK move
Charles Sagoe Jr, the England-Ghana winger currently on loan at Kalmar FF from Arsenal, is being linked with a move to Allsvenskan rivals AIK as clubs assess their attacking options for next season.
The 21-year-old has been a regular for Kalmar in the 2026 Allsvenskan campaign, starting every league match so far and contributing one goal and seven assists in 12 appearances. His performances have given him a direct hand in more than half of Kalmar’s goals during that spell, making him one of the side’s key creative outlets from the left flank.
Sagoe Jr’s loan from Arsenal is due to run until 31 December 2026, after which he is scheduled to return to the Premier League 2 side. Any move to AIK would therefore require agreement with the north London club, who retain his registration and have seen his estimated value rise to around €1.5 million since he arrived in Sweden.
Born in London and capable of representing both England and Ghana, Sagoe Jr joined Kalmar in February 2026, having previously spent time on loan at Swansea and Shrewsbury from Arsenal’s academy. His current deal with the Swedish club has given him his longest uninterrupted run of senior football, with Kalmar relying heavily on his availability and minutes this season.
For now, Sagoe Jr remains an integral part of Kalmar’s starting XI, with his immediate future tied to the loan agreement that keeps him at the club until the end of the calendar year.
