Enzo Molebe: Lyon’s Franco-Congolese forward linked with Nice move

France and DR Congo-eligible forward Enzo Molebe of Lyon has emerged as a transfer target for Ligue 1 rivals Nice, with the 18-year-old centre-forward attracting interest after his first sustained run of senior football.

Molebe, who is under contract at Lyon until June 2029, spent the second half of last season on loan at Montpellier, where he registered two goals and one assist in 12 Ligue 2 appearances. That spell, along with his brief taste of Ligue 1 and Europa League football for Lyon, is understood to have put him on the radar of clubs looking to strengthen their attacking options with a young striker already exposed to senior competition.

Nice are monitoring his situation as they assess forward options in the current window, with Molebe’s current market value standing at around €800,000. Lyon, who formally promoted him to the first team in 2025 after his progression through their youth and B teams, are not under pressure to sell given the length of his deal and his recent development.

Born in Decines-Charpieu and a right-footed centre-forward by trade, Molebe has been steadily introduced to top-level football, adding domestic cup and European minutes to his resume last season alongside his league outings. Discussions over his future are yet to advance into a formal bid, and for now he remains tied to Lyon on a long-term contract running to 2029.
