In the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final first leg, Tout Puissant Mazembe secured a 2-1 victory against Stade Malien. Rainford Kalaba opened the scoring for Mazembe in the 14th minute, followed by a goal from Trésor Mputu. Koita Mory scored for Stade Malien.
The result puts TP Mazembe in a favorable position for the return match in two weeks. In the other semi-final, CA Bizertin and CS Sfaxien played to a 0-0 draw.
