RS Berkane part ways with Moïne Chaâbani after Tunisia appointment
Moroccan champions RS Berkane have confirmed the departure of head coach Moïne Chaâbani after the Tunisian accepted the opportunity to become the new manager of his country’s national team.
In an official statement, the club said it had agreed to release Chaabani from his contract, which had been due to run until 30 June 2027, allowing him to take up the role with Tunisia.
RS Berkane also revealed that the Tunisian Football Federation had approached the coach on two previous occasions before he agreed to accept the position this time.
Club praises Chaabani’s achievements
The Orange Boys paid tribute to Chaabani’s contribution during his two-and-a-half-year spell, describing his tenure as one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.
The Moroccan side acknowledged the coach’s decision and expressed its appreciation for the work he carried out during his time in charge.
Focus turns to next chapter
With Chaabani’s departure confirmed, RS Berkane said preparations for the new season are already underway.
The club stressed that its management remains committed to building on the recent progress achieved under the Tunisian coach as it begins the search for his successor and looks to maintain its momentum in domestic and continental competitions.
