Harun Ibrahim: Sweden-Ethiopia midfielder joins Hacken on loan from Sharjah FC
BK Hacken have signed Sweden-Ethiopia central midfielder Harun Ibrahim on loan from Sharjah FC in the UAE Pro League. The 23-year-old returns to Swedish football with a deal that runs until 30 November 2026.
Ibrahim, born in Gothenburg and standing at 1.85m, moves back to his home country after a spell in the United Arab Emirates, where he featured for Sharjah and spent part of last season on loan at Al-Bataeh. The right-footed midfielder is contracted to Hacken until the end of the Allsvenskan campaign, giving the club additional depth in the centre of the pitch for the run-in.
The move caps a busy few years for Ibrahim, who left GAIS for Norwegian side Molde FK in 2023, winning the Norwegian Cup there in 2023 before returning to Sweden on loan with Sirius and later rejoining GAIS. Sharjah then secured his services from GAIS for €650,000 in September 2025 before sending him on loan to Al-Bataeh in February 2026 and recalling him at the end of that spell.
In the UAE, Ibrahim made appearances across domestic cup competitions, including the League Cup and President’s Cup, before being allowed to move on again in search of regular football. His current market valuation stands at around €400,000.
Ibrahim’s loan switch to Hacken is confirmed, with his contract at the Allsvenskan club set to expire on 30 November 2026.
