Ismail Seydi: France-Senegal winger joins Sonderjyske from Rapid Wien II

France-Senegal winger Ismail Seydi has joined Danish club Sonderjyske from Rapid Wien II, signing a contract until 30 June 2030. The 25-year-old left-sided attacker leaves Austria’s second tier to move into the Danish Superliga on a permanent deal.

Seydi, born in Paris and standing at 1.81m, arrives in Denmark after a productive spell in Rapid’s set-up, where he featured both for the first team in the Bundesliga and for Rapid Wien II in the 2. Liga. Comfortable on the left wing but right-footed, he is expected to add direct running and depth to Sonderjyske’s attacking options.

Last season, Seydi split his time between Rapid Wien II and a loan at Portuguese side Torreense. Across his professional career he has collected experience in the Austrian second tier, top-flight Bundesliga and Portugal’s second division, making more than 90 competitive appearances. His most prolific campaign came in the Austrian Regional League East, where he struck 11 goals in 37 matches.

Seydi also arrives in Haderslev with silverware already on his CV. He was part of the Torreense squad that lifted the Portuguese Cup in 2026, and previously helped Rapid Wien II win the Austrian Eastern Regionalliga title in 2023-24, underlining his experience in successful dressing rooms.

Having returned to Rapid Wien II at the end of his loan in Portugal, the winger now embarks on a new chapter in Scandinavia, with Sonderjyske tying him down on a four-year deal.
