Rayan Touzghar: Morocco-France midfielder joins Standard Liege from Pau FC in €1m deal
Morocco-France midfielder Rayan Touzghar has joined Standard Liege from Pau FC in a permanent transfer worth €1m. The 22-year-old central midfielder has signed a contract with the Belgian club until 30 June 2029.
Touzghar moves to the Jupiler Pro League after a standout spell in France with Pau in Ligue 2. The left-footed midfielder, who was born in Avignon in October 2003, has built a reputation as a reliable presence in the middle of the pitch, combining defensive work with a regular contribution in the final third.
Across his time in French senior football, Touzghar has accumulated more than 100 competitive appearances, including 37 games in Ligue 2 in which he scored three goals and provided three assists. He has also featured in the Coupe de France and across the French lower divisions, adding further goals and experience as he progressed through the ranks.
Before joining Pau in 2025, Touzghar moved through several French clubs, including Guingamp and Concarneau, having earlier spells with Toulouse’s reserve side and Nimes at youth level. His switch to Pau came on a free transfer, and his subsequent development there has now earned him a first move abroad.
Standard Liege have secured Touzghar on a long-term deal running to 2029, completing a €1m transfer from Pau FC.
