Yves Bissouma on the radar of Fulham

Fulham have reportedly emerged as one of the clubs interested in signing Mali international Yves Bissouma, with the experienced midfielder now available on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Tottenham Hotspur.

According to reports, the Cottagers are exploring the possibility of bringing the 28-year-old to Craven Cottage as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League season.

Bissouma is currently one of the most sought-after free agents on the market after parting ways with Tottenham earlier this summer. His availability without a transfer fee has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe and the Middle East, but the midfielder is believed to favour remaining in England’s top flight.

The prospect of staying in the Premier League is understood to be Bissouma’s priority, having spent the last several years establishing himself as one of the competition’s most accomplished defensive midfielders. Fulham’s interest could therefore present an attractive opportunity for both player and club.

Marco Silva’s side are keen to reinforce their midfield options as they prepare for another demanding Premier League campaign, and Bissouma’s experience, ball-winning ability and composure in possession make him an appealing target.

The Malian international built his reputation during an impressive spell at Brighton & Hove Albion, where his energetic displays and consistent performances earned widespread praise. His form on the south coast eventually convinced Tottenham Hotspur to secure his signature, with the midfielder going on to spend the past few seasons in North London.

During his time with Spurs, Bissouma featured regularly in domestic and European competitions, bringing valuable experience at the highest level. Although his contract was not renewed, his pedigree and proven Premier League quality continue to make him an attractive option for clubs seeking an experienced midfield presence.

Fulham face competition for the former Tottenham star, with interest reportedly coming from clubs elsewhere in Europe as well as financially powerful sides in the Middle East. However, Bissouma’s reported preference to continue his career in the Premier League could boost Fulham’s chances of securing his signature.

A move to Craven Cottage would allow the Mali international to remain in familiar surroundings while offering Fulham an experienced midfielder capable of adding strength, leadership and tactical balance to the squad.

As the summer transfer window progresses, Bissouma’s future is expected to remain one of the more closely watched stories, with Fulham hopeful of convincing the free agent that West London is the ideal destination for the next chapter of his career.
