Oluwabori Falaye: Canada-Nigeria forward at KF Tirana linked with Irtysh move

Canada-Nigeria centre-forward Oluwabori Falaye of KF Tirana is being linked with a summer move to Kazakh Premier Liga side Irtysh as the Albanian club weigh up interest in the 27-year-old. Irtysh are understood to be exploring a deal for the attacker, whose current valuation stands at around €100,000.

Falaye joined Tirana on a free transfer in August 2025 after a short spell with German fourth-tier side TSV Aubstadt, and has since been used across the frontline in Kategoria Superiore. He has made 24 league appearances for the Albanian club, contributing two goals and one assist, and featuring in the domestic cup as well.

Born in Providence in October 1998, the 1.83m forward is comfortable on either foot and is registered with both Canadian and Nigerian nationality. Before moving to Albania, he built up experience in Germany’s regional leagues, most notably scoring six goals and providing six assists in 38 Regionalliga Sudwest appearances, as well as featuring in the DFB-Pokal and various regional cup competitions.

Falaye’s most notable honour to date came in the 2022-23 season, when he was part of the FSV Frankfurt side that lifted the Hessen Cup, enhancing his profile within the German lower leagues before his subsequent moves.

Tirana, who picked him up without a fee when he was unattached, may now be tempted to cash in if Irtysh firm up their interest, with the player’s market value having doubled since early 2023. Falaye’s contract length in Albania has not been made public, but his future is expected to be a subject of discussions between the clubs in the coming weeks.
