Ge Ismael Sylla: Ivorian teenager joins Artis Brno from Super Nova
Artis Brno have added Ivory Coast midfielder Ge Ismael Nicaise Sylla to their squad after the 18-year-old completed a move from Latvian side Super Nova. The central midfielder joins the Czech club as they prepare for the new Chance Liga campaign.
Sylla, born on 7 February 2008, arrives in Brno after a short spell in Latvia, where he broke into senior football with Super Nova. He moved to the Virsliga club in March 2026 and has since made his first competitive appearances in European league football.
Primarily operating in central midfield, Sylla featured in both league and cup action for Super Nova, collecting minutes in the Virsliga and Latvian Cup during the 2025-26 season. In total, he appeared seven times across the two competitions, gaining his first top-flight experience.
The Ivorian’s market value is currently listed at €50,000, underlining his status as a young player at the start of his professional career. His switch to Artis Brno marks his first move into Czech football and a step into the country’s second tier.
Sylla joined Super Nova earlier in 2026 after a spell without a club and has progressed quickly enough to attract interest from abroad within a few months of his arrival in Latvia. He now links up with his new teammates in Brno after officially joining the club on 17 July 2026.
