Adama Bojang: Gambia forward at Stade Reims linked with move to Charleroi in Belgian Pro League switch
Adama Bojang, the Gambian centre-forward currently at Stade Reims, is being linked with a move to Belgian side R Charleroi SC in the Jupiler Pro League. The 22-year-old, who is under contract with the French club until 30 June 2028, is attracting interest from Charleroi as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
Bojang returned to Reims last summer after a loan spell at Swiss club Grasshoppers, where he featured regularly in the Super League. He made 26 league appearances there, scoring six goals and adding two assists, while also playing in the Swiss Cup. His current market value is estimated at around €1.2 million, a figure likely to frame any negotiations between Reims and Charleroi.
Standing at 1.91m and operating as a right-footed centre-forward, Bojang has been used sparingly in the French top flight, making nine Ligue 1 appearances for Reims and spending further time gaining experience in the club’s lower-tier sides and in the Coupe de France. Before moving to Europe, he joined Reims in August 2023 from Gambian side Steve Biko FC.
Reims’ long-term deal with Bojang means the French club are under no immediate pressure to sell, and any agreement with Charleroi would need to reflect his contractual situation. For now, the striker remains tied to Reims until 2028 while discussions over a potential move to Belgium continue in the background.
