Anthony Musaba: Schalke 04 eye move for Fenerbahce winger

Anthony Musaba, the Netherlands/DR Congo winger currently at Fenerbahce, is being linked with a move to Bundesliga side FC Schalke 04. The German club are monitoring the 25-year-old left-sided attacker as they assess wide options ahead of the new campaign.

Musaba joined Fenerbahce from Samsunspor in January 2026 for a reported €5m fee and has since broken into the Istanbul club’s attack in the Super Lig. He has produced five goals and six assists in 32 league appearances, form that has drawn attention from abroad after a rapid rise in his market valuation to around €7m.

Schalke’s interest comes at a time when Musaba has begun to make an impact in continental and domestic cup competitions, contributing goals and assists in the Europa Conference League and Turkish Cup. He was also part of the Fenerbahce side that lifted the Turkish Super Cup in the 2025-26 season, underlining his growing status at the club.

Born in Beuningen and developed in the Dutch system as a right-footed left winger, Musaba has already experienced football in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and England, including 72 Championship appearances earlier in his career. That breadth of experience is understood to appeal to Schalke as they look for attacking players accustomed to different styles and levels of competition.

Any negotiation is likely to be complex, with Musaba under contract at Fenerbahce until 30 June 2030 after signing a long-term deal on his arrival in January.
