Oumar Conte: Guinea-France winger linked with Wisla Krakow move

Guinea-France winger Oumar Conte, currently a free agent after leaving Reggiana, is being linked with a move to Ekstraklasa side Wisla Krakow. The 19-year-old right winger, who is left-footed, is understood to be on the Polish club’s radar as they assess low-cost attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

Conte, valued at around €300,000, became available on 1 July after his departure from Italian club Reggiana. His status without a club is thought to make him an attractive target for Wisla, who would not be required to pay a transfer fee to secure his services.

The teenager has built his reputation in Italy’s youth and lower divisions, most notably with SPAL’s Under-19 side before his switch to Reggiana. Across his recent youth campaign, he recorded 12 goals and four assists in 33 appearances in the Primavera 2, underlining his ability to contribute consistently in the final third over a full season.

Conte has also had a brief taste of senior football, making appearances in Serie B and Serie C as well as featuring in the Coppa Italia and youth play-off matches. Standing at 1.78m and comfortable cutting in from the right flank onto his stronger left foot, he offers a profile that differs from some of Wisla’s existing wide options.

Born in January 2007 and holding both Guinean and French nationality, Conte has moved quickly through youth systems in France and Italy in recent years. With no contract currently tying him down, his next step is expected to be finalised once Wisla decide whether to turn their interest into a formal offer.
