Elie Andzouono: Congo winger joins Sohar SC on free transfer
Congo right winger Elie Andzouono has joined Omani side Sohar SC on a free transfer from FK Cabrayil. The 24-year-old has signed a deal running until 31 May 2027 as he makes the switch to the Jindal League.
Andzouono moves after a season in Azerbaijan with Cabrayil, whom he also joined as a free agent in September 2025 from AS Otoho. His arrival adds a new attacking option on the right flank for Sohar, with the club securing him without paying a transfer fee.
Capable of operating across the attack but primarily used on the right wing, Andzouono brings experience of continental and cup competition. He featured in the CAF Confederation Cup earlier in his career and also played in the Azerbaijan Cup, building up minutes in knockout football as well as league action.
Before heading to Azerbaijan, Andzouono spent his early career in his homeland with Diables Noirs, Etoile du Congo and AS Otoho, earning successive moves between leading Congolese clubs between 2023 and 2025. Standing at 1.78m, he now takes his first step into Middle Eastern football with this move to Oman.
The transfer, completed on 17 July 2026, sees Andzouono leave Cabrayil at the end of his contract and commit his future to Sohar SC until the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
