Rida Hannioui: Italy-Morocco midfielder joins Fujairah SC from Al-Hamra
Italy-Morocco midfielder Rida Hannioui has joined Fujairah SC from Al-Hamra in a completed move that continues his rise through UAE football. The 22-year-old, who operates in midfield, makes the switch after a year with Al-Hamra, where he arrived ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Hannioui, born on 22 September 2003, has already had a taste of competitive action in the Emirates, featuring in the UAE President’s Cup. He made four appearances in the competition, accumulating 283 minutes as he began to establish himself in senior football in the region.
Fujairah’s latest recruit has taken a steadily upward route through his club career. Before signing for Al-Hamra, he spent the 2024-25 campaign at Al-Arabi, having previously moved to the UAE with Dibba Al-Hisn in 2023 after a stint with Sheffield Town. His early senior experience also includes time with PO Ormidias.
Capable of playing across the midfield, Hannioui brings Fujairah SC further depth in the centre of the pitch as they shape their squad for the new campaign. His dual Italian and Moroccan background adds an international dimension to a side looking to strengthen its options with players who already understand the demands of football in the UAE.
The move, completed on 17 July 2026, sees Hannioui formally registered as a Fujairah SC player ahead of the 2026-27 season.
