Amadou Dante: Mali left-back joins Zbrojovka Brno from Arouca in completed transfer
Mali defender Amadou Dante has joined Czech side Zbrojovka Brno from Portuguese club Arouca, completing a move that takes the left-back into the Chance Liga at the age of 25. The transfer sees Brno add an experienced option on the left side of their defence as they strengthen their squad for the new campaign.
Dante switches to the Czech Republic from Liga Portugal, where he had been on the books at Arouca. The move marks a change of league and environment for the full-back, who has spent recent seasons in the Portuguese top flight and now makes the step into Czech football.
Primarily a left-back, Dante offers defensive cover and width on the flank, and his arrival gives Zbrojovka Brno an additional specialist in a key position. At 25, he is moving at an age where he has already gathered senior experience while still having time to develop further within European football.
Dante’s current market valuation is around €1.2 million, underlining the significance of his capture for a Chance Liga side aiming to compete strongly in the coming season. His background in a top-tier European league is likely to be viewed as an asset in a division where such experience is less common.
The Mali defender’s transfer from Arouca to Zbrojovka Brno is effective immediately, with the left-back now registered as a Brno player ahead of the forthcoming campaign.
