Pape Ndoye: Senegal midfielder joins Al-Ahly from Sacre Cœur in completed transfer
Senegal defensive midfielder Pape Ndoye has joined Libyan Premier League side Al-Ahly from Sacre Cœur in a completed transfer on 16 July 2026.
Ndoye moves to the Benghazi club after a season in Senegal’s Ligue 1 with Sacre Cœur, where he established himself as a regular in the heart of midfield. The right-footed midfielder, who stands at 1.85m, is valued at around €100,000 and will now continue his career in North Africa after progressing through domestic football in Senegal and Morocco.
The move to Al-Ahly is a permanent transfer, marking the latest step in a journey that has taken Ndoye through several clubs in West and North Africa. Before joining Sacre Cœur in 2024 on a free transfer, he spent time with RCA Zemamra following a switch from Teungueth FC, having earlier begun his senior career at D. Diop FC.
Ndoye’s most substantial top-flight experience came in Ligue 1, where he made 25 appearances and provided one assist, accumulating more than 2,200 minutes of football as a holding midfielder. His performances in that role, focused on protecting the back line and recycling possession, drew attention beyond Senegal’s borders.
By securing Ndoye, Al-Ahly add a physically strong, defensively minded presence to their midfield options as they prepare for upcoming domestic and continental commitments. The Senegalese player’s registration with the Libyan Premier League club is complete, confirming his switch from Sacre Cœur to Al-Ahly.
