Elie Kisoka: Franco-Congolese striker joins KVK Ieper on free transfer

Franco-Congolese centre-forward Elie Kisoka has joined Belgian side KVK Ieper on a free transfer from KC Roos. The 24-year-old, who was born in Lille and plays primarily through the middle of the attack, has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027.

Kisoka arrives in Ieper after a spell with KC Roos, having moved there in 2024 following a series of stints in French football. He will wear the number 9 shirt as KVK Ieper prepare for the new campaign in the 3de Nationale VV A.

The right-footed forward has built his career across the French lower divisions and US college soccer. In one of his most productive seasons in France’s National 2, he scored 10 goals in 26 appearances, averaging a goal roughly every 105 minutes, underlining his ability to make an impact in the penalty area.

Before heading to the United States with KC Roos, Kisoka played for a succession of French clubs, including Marignane, Athletico Marseille, Istres FC, ES Fosseenne and Chapelloise, often changing teams on free transfers as he worked his way through the senior game. His experience also includes appearances in the Coupe de France and the National 1 and National 3 divisions.

Eligible for both France and DR Congo, the 1.80m striker now embarks on his first spell in Belgian football. Kisoka’s move to KVK Ieper, confirmed on 16 July 2026, is a permanent free transfer and ties him to the club until the end of the 2026-27 season.
