Salomon Kourouma: RB Leipzig linked with move for Servette’s Swiss-Ivorian winger
RB Leipzig are being linked with a move for Swiss-Ivorian right winger Salomon Kourouma, the 15-year-old currently on the books at Servette U16. The Bundesliga club are monitoring the Geneva-born teenager as part of their ongoing recruitment of young attacking players from across Europe.
Kourouma, who stands at 1.80m and plays predominantly on the right flank, is eligible for both Switzerland and Cote d’Ivoire. He features for Servette’s U16 side and has already appeared in the U17 Elite League this season, playing 45 minutes in the competition.
The wide player joined Servette’s youth setup in February 2025 from Carouge Youth and moved into the U16 ranks ahead of the 2025–26 campaign. Within the Servette structure he has progressed quickly enough to be involved with the club’s U17 squad, contributing during a season that brought the Swiss U17 Championship title to Servette FC M-17 in 2025–26.
Leipzig, established as one of the Bundesliga’s leading destinations for emerging talent, are understood to be tracking Kourouma’s development rather than moving immediately towards a formal bid. Any potential deal would involve negotiations with Servette over a player who only joined their U16 setup in July 2025 and remains tied to the Swiss club as he continues his development in Geneva.
