Wilfried Zaha: Former Crystal Palace and Galatasaray winger linked with shock move to Internacional

Wilfried Zaha, the Ivory Coast and England winger currently without a club, has been linked with a surprise move to Brazilian side Internacional as the 33-year-old weighs up his next step after leaving Galatasaray this summer.

Zaha became a free agent on 1 July 2026 after his contract with the Turkish champions ended, opening the door for talks with Internacional, who are exploring the possibility of adding the experienced left-sided attacker on a free transfer. Any deal is likely to hinge on the Brazilian club’s ability to match the financial expectations of a player whose market value was last listed at around €3.5 million.

The former Crystal Palace talisman arrives on the market with a substantial top-flight pedigree. He has made 305 Premier League appearances, scoring 68 goals and providing 31 assists, as well as enjoying spells in MLS and the Turkish Super Lig. In Turkey he contributed to Galatasaray’s title-winning 2023-24 campaign, when he also collected the Turkish Super Cup.

Zaha’s recent career has included a series of moves designed to maintain game time and profile. After joining Galatasaray from Crystal Palace on a free transfer in 2023, he had loan stints with Lyon and MLS club Charlotte before returning to Istanbul and then formally departing at the end of the 2025-26 season.

Now unattached and able to sign outside traditional European transfer window constraints, Zaha is assessing interest from abroad, with Internacional among the clubs considering whether to turn that interest into a formal offer.
