Ibrahima Sylla: Guinea midfielder joins AS Pagny on free transfer from FC Mamer 32
Guinea defensive midfielder Ibrahima Sylla has joined French side AS Pagny on a free transfer from Luxembourg club FC Mamer 32. The 23-year-old moves to the Moselle outfit after one season in the BGL Ligue system, with the deal completed on 15 July 2026.
Sylla, who was born in Conakry and plays primarily as a holding midfielder, arrives after a varied early career across France and Luxembourg. He left Thionville Lusitanos to sign for Mamer in July 2025, also on a free, and now returns to French football with AS Pagny-sur-Moselle.
The right-footed midfielder has already built up senior experience in the French lower divisions, appearing in National 1, National 2 and National 3. Across those competitions and domestic cups, he has featured regularly in defensive midfield, including 26 league games and a goal in National 3 Group I and additional minutes in the Coupe de France.
Sylla also gained game time in Luxembourg’s top flight, making four appearances in the BGL Ligue and adding further minutes in the country’s domestic cup competitions. His record in knockout football includes two goals in five Coupe de France outings, underlining his ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch from a deeper role.
Having left Mamer at the end of his spell in Luxembourg, Sylla now continues his career in France with AS Pagny, completing a permanent free transfer ahead of the new campaign.
