Mamadou Coulibaly: Senegal midfielder linked with Union Brescia move

Mamadou Coulibaly, the Senegal midfielder currently without a club after leaving Sudtirol, is being linked with a move to Serie C side Union Brescia.

The 27-year-old became a free agent on 1 July 2026 following the end of his spell with Sudtirol and is viewed as a potential reinforcement for the Lombardy club as they prepare for the new Serie C – Girone A campaign. Any deal would not require a transfer fee, with Coulibaly’s current market value estimated at €500,000.

Coulibaly has extensive experience in Italian football, having built his career across Serie A and Serie B. He has made 159 appearances in Serie B, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists, as well as featuring 24 times in Serie A. His most recent permanent moves have seen him join Catanzaro from Salernitana in August 2024 and then switch to Sudtirol on a free transfer in July 2025.

The central midfielder has been on the books of Udinese, Salernitana, Ternana, Palermo, Virtus Entella, Trapani, Carpi and Pescara during a career spent entirely in Italy since first signing professionally in 2017. Born in Thies and standing at 1.87m, he operates primarily in central midfield and is right-footed.

Union Brescia’s interest comes at a time when Coulibaly is seeking the next step in his career following his departure from Sudtirol, with his free-agent status giving the Serie C club flexibility over the timing of any agreement.
