Salieu Drammeh: Gambian-Danish winger joins Standard Liege from Lillestrøm in €2.2m deal
Standard Liege have signed Gambian-Danish winger Salieu Drammeh from Norwegian side Lillestrøm SK in a permanent transfer worth €2.2m. The 23-year-old left-sided attacker has agreed a contract with the Belgian club until 30 June 2029.
Drammeh arrives in the Jupiler Pro League on the back of an eye-catching spell in Norway, where he helped Lillestrøm win the Norwegian Cup in 2025. Operating mainly as a left winger and preferring his right foot, he becomes one of Standard’s long-term attacking investments as they reshape their forward line.
The wide player joined Lillestrøm in March 2025 from Danish club BK Frem and quickly adapted to senior football. Across his time in Scandinavia and Denmark, he built a reputation for end product, with double figures for both goals and assists in Norway’s OBOS-ligaen and further contributions in the Eliteserien and domestic cups.
Standing at 1.75m, Drammeh has experience across several levels, from Danish youth divisions with Brøndby, Hellerup IK and Vejle BK to senior football in Denmark and Norway. His performances have driven his valuation up to €1m, with Standard opting to pay more than double that figure to secure his services.
Comfortable attacking from the left and cutting inside onto his stronger foot, Drammeh will now test himself in Belgium’s top flight for the first time. The move marks his first venture outside Scandinavia and ties him to Standard Liege for the next three seasons.
