Youssef Zayzoun: Spanish-Moroccan winger leaves UD Ourense to become free agent
Spanish-Moroccan winger Youssef Zayzoun has left UD Ourense and become a free agent after reaching the end of his spell with the Galician club. The 25-year-old, who operates primarily on the left wing, is now without a club following the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign.
Zayzoun joined Ourense in February 2026 from L’Escala on a free transfer and departs with his market value currently listed at €50,000. His short stint at the Primera Federacion Group I side follows a series of moves across the Spanish lower divisions as he has looked to establish himself in senior football.
Born in Palamos and eligible for both Spain and Morocco, the 1.83m winger is right-footed but has been used predominantly on the left flank. Across his career in the Spanish league system and domestic cups, he has recorded appearances in Segunda Federacion, Segunda B and various promotion play-offs, scoring four goals in league and cup action.
Before arriving at Ourense, Zayzoun spent the first half of the 2025-26 season with L’Escala, having previously represented Cerdanyola FC and Vilassar de Mar in successive seasons, both moves also completed as free transfers. His earlier senior experience came with UB Conquense and CF Peralada after progressing through the ranks at Llagostera’s youth and B teams and then UE Costa Brava and their B side.
Zayzoun now begins the next phase of his career as a free agent following his departure from UD Ourense.
