Vasco Lopes: Cape Verde winger joins FC Sudtirol from Radomiak

Cape Verde and Portugal winger Vasco Lopes has joined FC Sudtirol from Polish side Radomiak, signing a long-term deal with the Serie B club. The 26-year-old right-sided attacker has agreed a contract running until 30 September 2029 after completing his move to Italy.

Lopes, who was born in Barreiro and stands at 1.86m, arrives in Bolzano primarily as a right winger but is comfortable attacking from wide areas on his favoured left foot. His switch from the Ekstraklasa to Serie B adds further depth to Sudtirol’s forward options as they prepare for the new campaign.

The wide man leaves Radomiak after featuring regularly in Poland’s top flight, where he made 31 league appearances and contributed four assists. Before moving to Poland, Lopes built his reputation in Portugal, playing in both the Primeira Liga and Liga Portugal 2 and amassing more than 80 league appearances across the two divisions.

Across his senior career he has collected experience in domestic cups and relegation battles, including productive spells in Cyprus where he combined league and relegation-round matches with steady returns of goals and assists. That breadth of competition experience underpins Sudtirol’s decision to secure him on a contract extending to 2029.

Lopes’ market value was last assessed at around €400,000, underlining Sudtirol’s move for a player in his peak years. The transfer is a completed permanent move, with the winger now officially registered as an FC Sudtirol player for the forthcoming Serie B seasons.
