Marc Medou: Cameroonian midfielder joins Tauras on free transfer from Meyrin FC II

Cameroonian attacking midfielder Marc Medou has joined Lithuanian side Tauras on a free transfer from Meyrin FC II.

The 23-year-old, who plays primarily as an attacking midfielder and is right-footed, has signed for the I Lyga club after leaving the Swiss outfit this summer. The move continues a period of frequent changes for Medou, who has featured in both European and African club football in recent seasons.

Medou arrives at Tauras having spent the second half of last season with Meyrin FC II, whom he also joined as a free agent. Before his time in Switzerland, he had a series of short spells across Europe, including with FC Onex and Dardania LS II, following a move away from his homeland.

The 1.77m midfielder began to build his senior career with Cameroonian side Canon Yaounde, earning a switch from AS Lausanne in 2022. He then moved back to Europe, with his subsequent transfers all completed without a fee as he sought regular football and opportunities across different leagues.

Born on 14 May 2003, Medou now takes the next step in his career in Lithuania’s second tier, where Tauras will look to make use of his attacking midfield profile as he settles into a new competition. The deal sees Medou registered as a Tauras player from 15 July 2026 following his free transfer from Meyrin FC II.
