Chelsea eye €90m Leipzig winger Yan Diomande in major summer move
Chelsea are considering a move for Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig as they weigh up a big-money attacking signing this summer. The 19-year-old, who plays primarily on the left, is currently valued at around €90m and has emerged as a target as the Premier League club assess options to strengthen their forward line.
Diomande has a contract at Leipzig until 30 June 2030, putting the Bundesliga side in a strong position ahead of any potential negotiations. The chances of a deal at this stage are viewed as relatively low, with the probability of a transfer currently rated at 21%, but Chelsea are monitoring the situation closely.
The Abidjan-born winger has quickly become a key figure for Leipzig after joining from CD Leganes in July 2025 for €20m. In his first Bundesliga campaign he registered 12 goals and nine assists in 33 appearances, underlining his impact at the top level in Germany.
Diomande has also featured on the global stage, starting every match for Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup and contributing one assist across four games. His performances for club and country over the past year have driven his rapid rise in valuation, with his current market value the highest of his career.
While Chelsea explore the feasibility of a deal, Leipzig are under no pressure to sell given Diomande’s long-term contract and recent emergence as one of their most productive attacking players.
