Michel Coumbassa: Franco-Guinean left-back joins Jarville JF on free transfer
Franco-Guinean defender Michel Coumbassa has joined Jarville JF on a free transfer from AS Pagny. The 20-year-old left-back makes the move after two seasons with the Pagny setup, stepping up to a new challenge in the French game.
Coumbassa, born in Nancy in October 2005, arrives at Jarville as a natural left-footer who is primarily deployed at full-back. He links up with Jarville Jeunesse Foot after his deal with AS Pagny came to an end, with the transfer completed on 14 July 2026.
The defender progressed through the youth ranks at AS Nancy before spells with Vandoeuvre and then Pagny, where he moved from the U19 side into the senior squad in 2024. His pathway has kept him within the Lorraine region, and the switch to Jarville continues that trajectory.
During his time at youth level, Coumbassa gained competitive experience in the National U19 set-up, making 19 appearances and scoring once in Group B, building up close to 1,500 minutes of football in that campaign. That exposure helped establish him as a regular at his age group before his move into senior football.
Capable of operating on the left side of defence and offering balance with his preferred left foot, Coumbassa now links up with Jarville JF as a free agent signing ahead of the 2026-27 season.
