Ragab Gamal: Egyptian midfielder rejoins Alaab Damanhour on free transfer

Egyptian midfielder Ragab Gamal has rejoined Ala’ab Damanhour on a free transfer from Seid El Mahalla, returning to the club where he first broke into senior football.

The 25-year-old central midfielder moves back to his hometown side after a year with Seid El Mahalla, who had themselves signed him on a free from Tala’ea Ostol in July 2025. The latest switch has been confirmed as a free transfer, with Gamal taking up his preferred role in the centre of the Damanhour midfield.

Born in Damanhour in November 2000, Gamal originally came through the youth ranks at Ala’ab Damanhour before stepping up to the first team in 2020. He left the club in 2023 for El Mahalla and has since had a series of moves within Egyptian football, including spells at Mostakbal Sport and El Minya before reaching Seid El Mahalla.

Standing at 1.83m and favouring his right foot, Gamal adds physical presence and familiarity with the club’s environment as he returns to the side representing his home city. He has already experienced cup football, having made an appearance in the Egypt Cup earlier in his career.

Gamal’s move is registered for the 2026–27 season, with the midfielder now back at Ala’ab Damanhour following his latest free transfer from Seid El Mahalla.
