Real Madrid stay alert for Michael Olise

Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on Michael Olise, but Bayern Munich are still refusing to entertain any talk of a sale.

That has left the Spanish club waiting for a possible opening later in the transfer window rather than making a formal move right now.

Olise has become one of Bayern’s standout attacking players since arriving from Crystal Palace in 2024, and his contract runs until 2029. The club views him as a long-term cornerstone, which is why their stance remains firm despite growing interest from Madrid.

The timing of that interest is easy to understand. On 22 August 2025, Olise opened his season with a brace in a 6-0 win over RB Leipzig. He then produced a dramatic stoppage-time winner against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final second leg on 15 April 2026, helping Bayern reach the semi-finals.

A month later, he scored again in a 1-0 win at Wolfsburg and became only the second player since 2004-05 to finish a Bundesliga season with at least 15 goals and 15 assists. He was later voted Bundesliga Player of the Season.
