Amine Zouhzouh: Morocco midfielder linked with Raja Casablanca return from Al-Wakrah SC

Morocco attacking midfielder Amine Zouhzouh of Al-Wakrah SC is being linked with a move to Botola Pro Inwi side Raja Casablanca, in what would be a high-profile return to Moroccan football for the 25-year-old.

Raja are exploring an attacking reinforcement and have identified Zouhzouh, who joined Qatari Stars League club Al-Wakrah from AS FAR Rabat in July 2025 for a reported €1.9m fee. His current market valuation stands at around €1.8m, and with his contract in Qatar running until June 2029, any deal would likely require a significant financial commitment rather than a cut-price transfer.

Zouhzouh has adapted quickly to life in Qatar, producing nine goals and five assists in 22 Stars League appearances, underlining the end-product that first drew attention during his time in the Botola. His performances with AS FAR, where he registered 24 goals and 28 assists in 81 league games, established him as one of the division’s most productive attacking midfielders before his move abroad.

The M’diq-born playmaker, who operates primarily as an attacking midfielder and is right-footed, has also gained experience on the continental stage with 15 outings in the CAF Champions League. On the international scene, he was part of a Morocco side that lifted the Arab Cup in the 2024-25 season, adding a notable honour to his resume.

Al-Wakrah are under no contractual pressure to sell, given Zouhzouh’s deal runs for another three years, and there is no indication yet that negotiations with Raja have reached an advanced stage.
