Glad Egbedi: Sweden-Ghana forward returns to Sirius U19 on free transfer
Sweden-Ghana centre-forward Glad Egbedi has rejoined Sirius U19 from Aarhus GF U19 on a free transfer. The 18-year-old switches back to the Swedish club’s youth ranks after two seasons in Denmark, with the move completed on 14 July 2026.
Egbedi, who plays primarily through the middle in attack, previously left Sirius’ youth set-up in summer 2024 to join Aarhus. He now returns to the Uppsala side aiming to continue his development in familiar surroundings, this time within the club’s U19 squad.
During his time with Aarhus GF U19, Egbedi featured regularly in the U19 Boys League, making 27 appearances and scoring three goals. He accumulated 1,084 minutes in the competition, averaging a goal roughly every 361 minutes, and also appeared briefly in the Future Cup.
Born on 7 January 2008, Egbedi is eligible for both Sweden and Ghana and has spent key stages of his youth career in Scandinavia. His move back to Sirius reunites him with the club where he first came through the youth system before heading to Denmark.
Egbedi’s transfer is a permanent free move, with the forward now officially part of the Sirius U19 squad for the 2026-27 campaign.
