Lohann Doucet: Burkina Faso-French midfielder joins Vitoria Guimaraes from Paris FC
Vitoria Guimaraes have signed Burkina Faso-born French defensive midfielder Lohann Doucet from Paris FC. The 23-year-old has moved to the Liga Portugal side on a transfer completed on 14 July 2026 and agreed a contract running until June 2029.
Doucet, a right-footed holding midfielder, arrives in Portugal after spending the last two seasons on the books of Paris FC, where he initially signed from Nantes in 2024. He spent part of the 2025-26 campaign on loan at USL Dunkerque before returning to the capital club at the end of the season.
Comfortable screening the back line and operating at the base of midfield, Doucet brings experience from the French professional leagues despite his age. He has made over 70 appearances in Ligue 2 and also featured in Ligue 1, as well as in domestic cup competitions.
Nantes-born Doucet came through the youth ranks at his hometown club, progressing from their youth teams to the B side and then the first team. During his time there he was part of a squad that lifted the French Cup in the 2021-22 season before his initial loan move to Paris FC in 2023 and subsequent permanent switch.
Standing at 1.80m, Doucet now embarks on his first move outside France as he joins a Vitoria Guimaraes side competing in Portugal’s top flight. The deal sees him contracted to the Primeira Liga club until the summer of 2029.
