Jean Batoum: Cameroon forward joins Nyiregyhaza Spartacus on loan from Cracovia
Cameroon striker Jean Batoum has joined Hungarian side Nyiregyhaza Spartacus on a loan deal from Polish Ekstraklasa club Cracovia. The 24-year-old centre-forward moves to the NB I side for the 2026-27 season, with the transfer completed on 14 July.
Batoum, who is 1.86m tall and plays primarily through the middle, arrives in Hungary after a brief spell in Poland, where he featured for Cracovia following his move there earlier in 2026. His contract with Nyiregyhaza runs until 30 June 2027, after which he is scheduled to return to Cracovia at the end of the loan.
The Cameroon-born forward, from Edea, previously played for FC Ashdod in Israel’s top flight, where he scored five goals and provided two assists in 20 Ligat ha’Al appearances, adding further minutes in the domestic cup. Before heading to Europe, he featured in his homeland for Colombe Sport and Dynamo Douala.
Batoum is right-footed and operates as a traditional centre-forward, giving Nyiregyhaza additional depth and a different profile in attack as they prepare for the NB I campaign. His current market value is listed at €350,000, reflecting his growing experience across multiple European leagues at a relatively young age.
Having joined Nyiregyhaza Spartacus on a season-long loan, Batoum will return to Cracovia when the agreement expires at the end of June 2027.
