Chris Bedia set for Union Berlin exit
Chris Bedia is likely heading for another summer move away from Union Berlin after the club decided not to count on him for the new season.
The 30-year-old striker has already started talks with a potential new team, with his absence from the recent friendly against Carl Zeiss Jena seen as an early sign of what is to come.
Bedia only returned to Berlin in the summer after ending his loan spell with BSC Young Boys, but his name now looks set to disappear from Union’s plans again. That is despite a productive season in Switzerland, where he scored 22 goals in 48 competitive appearances and reminded clubs of his finishing ability.
Union’s current stance suggests a transfer could follow quickly if negotiations progress smoothly. His contract in Berlin still runs until the summer of 2027, so any exit will need to be worked out carefully between the parties. For now, the situation remains open, but the direction is clear: Bedia’s next chapter may begin elsewhere rather than in the German capital.
