Bertrand Fourrier: Septemvri Sofia and France-Cameroon striker linked with move to Ural
France-Cameroon centre-forward Bertrand Fourrier of Septemvri Sofia is attracting interest from Russian side Ural over a potential move from the Bulgarian efbet Liga. The 28-year-old, who was born in Douala and represents Septemvri as their No 9, is under contract until 30 June 2027 but is being monitored as Ural look to strengthen their attack in the 1.Division.
Fourrier has established himself in Bulgaria’s top flight, making 65 league appearances for Septemvri Sofia and scoring 19 goals. His record in the efbet Liga, built up since moving to the club in August 2024, has drawn attention from abroad as he continues to adapt to a higher level after several years in French lower divisions.
Ural’s interest comes at a time when Fourrier’s market value is listed at around €800,000, a figure that reflects his status as a regular starter and his consistent minutes in Bulgaria. Any negotiations would therefore require Septemvri Sofia to weigh up a significant fee against the loss of a first-choice centre-forward.
Fourrier joined Septemvri on a free transfer from SC Toulon in the summer of 2024, having previously played for a series of clubs in France’s National 1 and National 2 tiers. His rise from those levels to becoming a key figure in the Bulgarian top flight has made him a realistic target for clubs seeking a physically imposing, right-footed striker with experience across different European leagues.
For now, Septemvri Sofia retain control over Fourrier’s future thanks to the long-term deal he signed on arrival, leaving Ural to decide whether to test the Bulgarian club’s resolve with a formal offer.
