Mame Alassane Niang: Senegal striker joins HamKam from Lyn in €110k move

Senegal forward Mame Alassane Niang has joined Norwegian Eliteserien side HamKam from Lyn in a permanent transfer worth €110,000. The 20-year-old centre-forward has signed a deal running until 31 December 2026 with the Hamar club.

Niang returns to HamKam having spent last season on loan there from Lyn, a spell that has now been turned into a full-time move. HamKam have moved to secure the tall left-footer after his impact in Norway’s top flight, where he has scored five goals in 10 league appearances in the 2026 campaign.

Standing at 1.97m, Niang has operated through the middle for HamKam, starting in the majority of their Eliteserien fixtures and contributing to almost a third of the team’s league goals so far this season. He has also featured in the NM-Cup, adding further competitive experience in Norwegian football.

Niang originally left Senegalese side Diambars FC for Lyn in 2024, before Lyn loaned him to HamKam in March 2026. That initial loan concluded in July, when he briefly returned to Lyn before the clubs agreed the permanent transfer back to HamKam.

Born in Ndatte in 2006, Niang has already reached a market value of €1.8m on the back of his performances in Norway and will now spend the next year and a half tied to HamKam as they look to build on his early scoring form. The confirmed transfer keeps the Senegalese striker in the Eliteserien with HamKam until the end of the 2026 season.
