Italian-Ghanaian striker Jamal Iddrissou attracts Bundesliga interest as Köln pursue Inter striker
FC Köln have identified Italian-born striker of Ghanaian descent, Jamal Iddrissou, as a key transfer target, but their opening bid for the Inter Milan youngster has reportedly been rejected.
According to Sky Italia, the Bundesliga club submitted an offer to sign the 18-year-old on loan with an option to make the move permanent for between €7 million and €8 million.
However, Inter have turned down the proposal as they seek to retain long-term control over one of their most promising young forwards.
Inter want buy-back clause
The Serie A giants are reportedly unwilling to part with Iddrissou without including a buy-back option in any agreement.
Inter are said to be demanding a clause that would allow them to re-sign the striker for €15 million in 2027 or €18 million in 2028, ensuring they can bring him back should he fulfil his potential elsewhere.
It remains unclear whether Köln are prepared to accept those conditions as negotiations continue.
Growing interest in teenage striker
Standing at 1.88 metres, Iddrissou is regarded as one of the brightest young attacking prospects in Italian football.
The teenager has also attracted interest from fellow Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg and Premier League club Brentford, increasing the competition for his signature.
As the transfer window progresses, Köln face a battle to convince Inter to sanction a deal for the highly rated forward, who continues to draw attention from clubs across Europe.
