Safi Eddine Atmania: Algerian defender joins CR Temouchent on loan from USM Alger

Algerian centre-back Safi Eddine Atmania has joined CR Temouchent on loan from USM Alger, completing a move that will keep him at the Ligue 1 side until June 2027. The 21-year-old defender, who is right-footed and stands at 1.87m, switches clubs on a temporary deal as he looks to gain further first-team experience in the top flight.

Atmania’s loan comes with his market value currently assessed at €150,000, underlining his growing reputation after breaking into senior football with USM Alger. His contract at CR Temouchent runs until 30 June 2027, with the deal confirmed as a loan transfer rather than a permanent switch.

The defender steps into the CR Temouchent squad having already featured in domestic and continental competitions for USM Alger. Across league, cup and African fixtures, he has accumulated more than 1,700 minutes of senior football, including appearances in Ligue 1, the CAF Confederation Cup, the Algerian Cup and the Algerian Super Cup.

Atmania moves with an impressive early honours list for a player of his age. He was part of the USM Alger side that won the CAF Confederation Cup in the 2025-26 season and lifted back-to-back Algerian Cups in 2024-25 and 2025-26, adding valuable big-game experience to his defensive attributes.

Having progressed from USM Alger’s youth ranks to the first team in 2024 before this latest switch, Atmania now begins a new chapter with CR Temouchent as a loan signing from their Ligue 1 rivals.
