Isaac to SC Covilha: Caldas forward linked with Liga 3 switch
Cote d’Ivoire centre-forward Isaac, currently at Caldas, has been linked with a move to Liga 3 rivals SC Covilha as the Portuguese third tier’s summer reshuffle gathers pace.
The 21-year-old, who joined Caldas ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, is under contract until 30 June 2026 but could be the subject of interest as Covilha look to reshape their attacking options. Any deal would need to take into account that remaining year on his agreement, with Caldas in a position to negotiate rather than risk losing the striker closer to the end of his term.
Isaac has been used sparingly so far at Caldas, featuring across league and cup competitions without yet establishing himself as a regular starter. His game time this season has come in short bursts, totalling just over two full matches’ worth of minutes, as he adapts to the demands of the squad and competition for places in attack.
The forward arrived at Caldas on a free transfer from Machico at the start of the 2025-26 season, continuing a sequence of moves within the Portuguese pyramid as clubs have taken low-risk opportunities to add him to their squads. That pathway now appears to have attracted the attention of Covilha, who operate in the same division and therefore have a clear picture of his performances.
Caldas, however, retain control over Isaac’s immediate future through his current deal, and any approach from SC Covilha would have to persuade them to part with a player who still has a year left on his contract.
