Jovane Camara: Guinea-Bissau Forward Linked with SC Covilha Move from Guarda FC

Guinea-Bissau centre-forward Jovane Camara of Guarda FC is being linked with a move to SC Covilha, with the Liga 3 side weighing up a deal for the 22-year-old ahead of the new campaign.

Camara has been with Guarda FC in Portugal’s CP – Serie B and has emerged as a potential attacking option for Covilha as they shape their squad for the season in the third tier. The proposed switch would keep the forward in Portuguese football but offer a step up in division, with Covilha operating a tier above Guarda FC.

The interest comes with Camara approaching a key point in his career, as his current contract with Guarda FC is due to expire on 30 June 2026. That timescale gives his club a degree of leverage in any negotiations but also focuses attention on the forward’s medium-term future.

At 22, Camara has already established himself as a central figure in the attacking line at Guarda FC, operating through the middle as a recognised centre-forward. His performances there have been closely monitored by Covilha’s recruitment staff as they look to add depth and competition in the final third.

No agreement has yet been finalised between the clubs, and discussions remain at a preliminary stage. For now, Camara remains under contract at Guarda FC through 2026, with his situation attracting growing attention from within Portugal’s professional ranks.
