Taofeek Ismaheel: Nigeria winger at Gornik Zabrze linked with move to Jablonec in Czech Chance Liga switch
Nigeria right winger Taofeek Ismaheel of Gornik Zabrze is being linked with a move to Czech side Jablonec in the Chance Liga, with the Polish club facing a decision over the 25-year-olds future as he enters the final year of his contract.
Ismaheel, who was born in Lagos and plays predominantly on the right flank, is under contract at Gornik until 30 June 2027 but has a current market valuation of around 1.5m, a figure that provides a reference point for any talks between the clubs. Jablonec are exploring wide options and see the Ekstraklasa as a potential market, with Ismaheels profile and experience in Poland putting him on their radar.
The winger joined Gornik Zabrze in July 2024 from French side Lorient for a reported 360,000 fee and has since built up regular top-flight minutes in Poland, making 59 Ekstraklasa appearances. He also has experience in European competition, having scored three goals and supplied three assists in 10 Conference League outings earlier in his career, form that helped raise his visibility outside Norway and Belgium.
Ismaheel spent last season on loan at Lech Poznan before returning to Gornik at the end of the 2025-26 campaign, a spell that underlined his familiarity with the Polish league. That loan move, completed for a 100,000 fee, illustrated Gorniks willingness to consider offers while retaining control of his long-term future.
For now, Ismaheel remains a Gornik Zabrze player with two years left on his deal, leaving the Polish club in a strong position should Jablonec decide to firm up their interest with a formal bid.
