Abdoulaye Sow: French-Guinean defender joins AS Panazol after spell without club
French-Guinean centre-back Abdoulaye Sow has joined AS Panazol, ending a short spell without a club and returning to French football. The 21-year-old defender, who was born in Paris and plays primarily at centre-back, has signed for the side after leaving Cypriot outfit Aris Limassol earlier in the year.
Sow, who stands at 1.86m and is right-footed, arrives at Panazol with experience in both French youth football and senior football abroad. He had been unattached since January 2026, when he departed Aris Limassol following a free transfer move there from Monacos U21 team in September 2025.
Before his move to Cyprus, Sow developed in AS Monacos academy structure. He progressed through Monaco Youth, Monaco U19 and Monaco U21 after joining from Paris 13s youth ranks in 2020, gaining a grounding in elite youth competition. His most substantial game time came at Monaco U19, where he made 30 appearances in the National U19 Group D, as well as featuring in the Coupe Gambardella.
Sows standout achievement to date is winning the French Youth Cup with AS Monaco U19 in the 2022-23 season, underscoring his involvement in one of the countrys leading academies. That success and his consistent minutes at youth level provide a foundation as he takes the next step in his senior career.
The move to AS Panazol, completed on 12 July 2026, gives Sow a fresh platform in France to re-establish himself after his departure from Aris Limassol and a period without a club.
