Stefano Okaka: Italian-Nigerian Free Agent Linked with Iraklis Move

Italian-Nigerian centre-forward Stefano Okaka, currently without a club, is being linked with a move to Greek side Iraklis as the Super League 1 outfit explore experienced attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

Okaka, 36, is a free agent and therefore able to negotiate outside the constraints of the transfer window, making him an accessible target for Iraklis as they look to add senior depth to their forward line. The proposed switch would bring the veteran to Greeces top division, with his current market value understood to be around 100,000, a figure that would represent a low-risk investment for the club.

The forward is best known for his work through the middle as a traditional centre-forward, a profile Iraklis are keen to add as they reshape their attacking department. His age and status as a free player mean any agreement would centre on salary and contract length rather than a transfer fee, a key consideration for clubs operating with tight budgets.

Okaka has most recently been training away from club football following the end of his last deal, leaving him free to assess interest and weigh up offers. With Iraklis among the sides monitoring his situation, discussions are expected to focus on whether both parties see a short-term role for the striker in the Super League 1 and how quickly he could be integrated into first-team plans.
