Ramiz Zerrouki: Algeria midfielder linked with Feyenoord return to FC Twente

Ramiz Zerrouki, the Algeria international midfielder at Feyenoord, is being linked with a move back to Eredivisie rivals FC Twente. The 28-year-old defensive midfielder, who also holds Dutch nationality, is under contract in Rotterdam until 30 June 2027 but is attracting interest from his former club as they look to reinforce the centre of their midfield.

Zerrouki rejoined Feyenoord this summer following the end of a season-long loan at Twente, where he had returned in July 2025. Twente are now exploring the possibility of bringing him back on a permanent basis, with his current market value standing at around 6.5m. Any deal would require Feyenoords agreement, with the Rotterdam club in a strong position to negotiate due to the length of his contract.

Born in Amsterdam and developed in the Dutch system, Zerrouki has extensive Eredivisie experience, racking up 175 league appearances and over 12,000 minutes in the competition. He has also featured in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League, adding continental experience to his domestic record.

At Feyenoord, Zerrouki has already tasted silverware, helping the club win the Dutch Cup in the 2023-24 season and the Dutch Super Cup in 2025. On the international stage, he was part of Algerias squad at the 2026 World Cup, making three appearances at the tournament.

Twente previously sold Zerrouki to Feyenoord in 2023 for a fee of 7.2m, and any fresh negotiations would come against the backdrop of that recent history, with Feyenoord weighing up whether to cash in on a player who remains tied to De Kuip for another year.
