Kaizer Chiefs eye move for TS Galaxy winger Seluleko Mahlambi in domestic switch

South African left winger Seluleko Mahlambi of TS Galaxy FC is being linked with a move to fellow Betway Premiership side Kaizer Chiefs as the Soweto club assesses attacking options for the new campaign. The 21-year-old, who operates primarily on the left but is right-footed, has emerged as a target after a breakthrough season in the top flight.

Mahlambi has featured regularly for TS Galaxy in the league, making 30 Premiership appearances and contributing six goals and five assists. His performances at senior level have come less than a year after he was promoted from TS Galaxys reserve side, having stepped up to the first team on 1 July 2025.

Chiefs interest comes at a time when Mahlambis stock is rising, with his current market value listed at around 500,000, the highest of his young career. Any deal would represent a quick turnaround in his development, given that he was still in youth football with AmaZulu as recently as the 202324 season before moving through Cape Town Citys reserves and then TS Galaxys second-string.

Mahlambi wears the No 27 shirt for TS Galaxy and has also gained experience in domestic cup competitions this term, adding further minutes in the Nedbank Cup and Carling Knockout. While there is no indication yet of an agreed fee or advanced negotiations, TS Galaxy face a decision over how to handle interest in a player who only joined their senior squad last year and does not have a publicly defined contract end date.
