Seluleko Mahlambi: Orlando Pirates eye move for TS Galaxy and South African winger

South African left winger Seluleko Mahlambi of TS Galaxy FC is being linked with a move to Orlando Pirates as the Soweto club look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new Betway Premiership campaign.

Mahlambi, 21, has emerged as one of Galaxys key performers, featuring prominently in the league last season. Operating from the left but favouring his right foot, he made 30 Premiership appearances, scoring six goals and providing five assists in 2,227 minutes of action, form that has drawn interest from one of the countrys biggest sides.

Pirates interest comes at a time when Mahlambis market value has risen to 500,000, reflecting his rapid progression since stepping up from TS Galaxys reserve team. The winger was promoted to the first-team squad on 1 July 2025 after a spell in the clubs development ranks, having previously come through the youth set-up at AmaZulu and then moved via Cape Town Citys reserves.

The Johannesburg giants are understood to be monitoring wide players in the domestic market, with Mahlambis consistent league output and experience in domestic cup competitions for Galaxy adding to his appeal. He featured across the Nedbank Cup, Carling Knockout and MTN8 last term, further underlining his integration into top-flight football.

Mahlambis contract situation at Galaxy has not been made public, and there is no indication yet that negotiations between the clubs have advanced. For now, he remains an important attacking option for TS Galaxy FC as the Middelburg-based side prepare for the upcoming season.
